Storage Container Moving Service
Need a storage or shipping container moved? Valtran picks it up at one address and delivers it to another, whether you rent it from us or own it. We move empty containers anywhere in New England and loaded containers within Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Moving a loaded rental container, or an empty container you own, is $350 minimum for a 20′ and $600 minimum for a 40′. For moves over 30 miles, add $4.00 per mile past 30 miles for a 20′ or $6.00 per mile for a 40′.

How a container move works
Moving a container you rent from us? Send us the new address and your preferred date. We schedule the move, send a driver to pick up the container and set it down at the new address.
Moving house? We can drop off an empty container at your current home. You load it at your own pace, and on moving day our driver picks it up and delivers it to your new address.
Own your container? We move customer-owned containers too. Tell us the size, both addresses and whether it's empty or loaded.
Moving a loaded container
We can move a loaded container within Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. For safe transport, the total weight of everything inside must not exceed 3,000 pounds. Our trucks can’t lift heavier loads, so if you’re close to the limit, call us before moving day.
Empty containers can be moved anywhere in New England.
Containers we move
We move 10′, 20′ and 40′ storage containers, including high cube, double door and side door units, whether they’re ours or yours. Not sure what size you have? Choose “Other / not sure” on the form and we’ll help you figure it out.
Scheduling and site access
We typically move containers Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Weekend or after-hours moves may be available by appointment.
Before moving day, make sure our truck can get to the container at the pickup address and that the spot at the new address is clear and level. Tell us about gates, tight turns, overhead wires or soft ground on the form so we can plan the move.
